Launch announcement signup

If you submit your email address, we use it to request a subscription for one email announcing the Wingit! launch. We do not use this signup for recurring newsletters or ongoing game updates. MailerLite sends a Double Opt-In confirmation email. When you click its confirmation link, MailerLite marks your subscription as Active. We intend to send the launch announcement to confirmed subscribers.

We use consent as the legal basis for this signup. You can withdraw consent or request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew.

MailerLite

When you submit the form, your browser sends the subscription request to Wingit's backend server. The backend forwards your email address to MailerLite through its API. MailerLite processes the email address under its applicable terms and privacy information.

How long we keep subscriber information

We retain subscriber information only for as long as necessary to administer the Wingit! launch notification, unless a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us using the details in this policy.

Website hosting and browser storage

The website is delivered by a hosting provider. Depending on its configuration, routine server or security logs may include information such as an IP address, requested page, request time, browser or device details, and referrer. These logs support website delivery, security, and troubleshooting; their exact contents and retention depend on the hosting service and its configuration.

The game uses browser storage for game functionality, including preferences, locally saved vocabulary lists, and temporary game data. The signup form does not use browser storage to save your email address. This site does not intentionally use advertising or analytics cookies on the signup flow.

International processing

MailerLite and the website hosting provider may process information using infrastructure or support operations outside the United Kingdom. Locations and safeguards depend on each provider's current arrangements. Where UK data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, we will rely on an applicable lawful mechanism. Optional PayPal donations

Donations are optional and are not required to use the game or sign up for a launch announcement. If you choose the Donate link, you leave our site and interact with PayPal. PayPal may process information such as account, payment, contact, and device information under its own privacy information and practices. We do not control its processing after you leave our site.
