1. Setup

Select a vocabulary list and customise it if needed.
Choose the number of teams and students in each team.
Give each student a letter (A, B, C, etc.) within their team.
Choose the victory point threshold.
Choose between GIF and JPG images.
Enable Mystery Boxes if you want to use them.
If you are playing with 3 or more teams, you can also enable Bombs.

2. Slideshow Phase

The vocabulary is presented with the image and word together.
The first presentation is a whole-class pronunciation drill.
After the first presentation, individual students take turns.
Students are called in letter order: Student A from each team, then Student B, Student C, and so on.
Use the arrows to move through the vocabulary.
Use the speaker button to hear the pronunciation.
When everyone is ready, click Start Showdown.

3. Showdown Phase

The words are hidden and only the images remain.
Students must identify each vocabulary item.
Correct answers earn points.
Consecutive correct answers build a streak, increasing the points earned: 1, 1, 2, 4, 8, and so on.
An incorrect answer resets the streak.
If enabled, Mystery Boxes appear during the game and give teams a choice between KEEP and SWITCH.
If enabled, Bombs can also appear when playing with 3 or more teams.
A Shield protects a team from one negative effect and is used up when it blocks an effect.
Some Mystery Box effects change the next few images. Fog blurs them, Mushroom makes them larger, and Tornado spins them.
The first team to reach the chosen victory threshold wins.

4. Solo Showdown

Solo Showdown uses the same image-based vocabulary recall.
Work through the vocabulary list once, identifying each image.
Correct answers build your score and streak.
If enabled, Mystery Boxes can give bonuses, score multipliers, Shields, or negative effects.
Solo Showdown ends when you have completed the full vocabulary list.
Your final result is then displayed.
